Examinations are held at the end of each semester. Periodic tests, Surprise tests and quizzes are held to assess continually the achievement of students. Written examination may be supplemented by oral tests, whenever necessary.
The maximum marks allotted to each paper will be 100. Of these, minimum 30 marks will be reserved for internal assessment which shall be based on class-room participation, periodic tests, projects, presentations, cases and home assignments. The professor concerned, at the beginning of the semester, shall determine/decide the weightage to each of these. The remaining marks in each paper shall be for written examination of three hours duration conducted at the end of each semester. The candidate has to secure a minimum of 50% marks for a pass in each paper. |

Re - Examination |

Students will be given the opportunity for Re-examination in the subjects, they have failed. A fee of Rs. 150 per credit will be charged for each re-examination. |

Re Evaluation |

Students have to apply within 10 days after results are announced. A fee of Rs. 100 per credit will be charged for reassessment of papers.
The Students who secure an average of 65% and above will be placed in the first class. All such students will be eligible to take the benefit of the placement assistance provided by the institute subject to the minimum attendance criteria as required by the institute. |

Attendance |

At NMC it is compulsay to have 100% attendance. This includes calss attendance as well attendance at various seminars, workshops, company presentations and guest lectures. Students having less than 95% attendance are not eligible for placements through the Institute.
It is essential for student to be present on campus on the first and the last day of the semester and any deviation from this pattern may be condoned only under special extenuating circumstance and with the permission of Institute authorities. |
